Tradition and Culture

Bend it like Beckham is a very multi-cultural movie. Jessminda is a Sikh Indian, Joe is an Irish man and Jules is American. Being a Sikh has many cultural traditions and customs that Sikh’s must follow. For example at Pinky’s wedding everyone is wearing saris and she doesn’t smile in her photo’s. This is for cultural reasons. Most Indians have an arranged wedding and are rarely ever allowed to marry anyone except Indians. I think that Bend it like Beckham shows the Indian culture very well. Another example of the Indian culture in Bend it like Beckham is in the change rooms. when the girls are getting changed and talking about their marriage traditions and what they have to do.
