Jess is an 18 year old who loves to play football anywhere at any time at anyplace. Jess is a courageous woman who disagrees with her family’s opinions about her playing football and keeping the Sikh Traditions. She is big-headed and willing to help others. Jess is joyful, reliable, social, proud, popular, ambitious and motivated. Finaly, Jess’ parents agree for her to go to America and play with Jules in a team professionally. Jess kisses Joe at the final scene of the movie and they plan to discuss their future about being together at a later time.

Joe is Irish. He is one of the main characters in Bend it like Beckham. Jules and Jess both like Joe as a bet friend and a boyfriend, in Spain they have a fight over him. Joe coaches the Honslow Harriors which is the team that both Jess and Jules play for. In the end of the movie Joe falls head over heels for Jess. At the start of the movie Joe’s dreams were to become a great coach and coach the men’s football team by the end of the movie he still wants to be a good coach but he wants to coach the women’s team.
Jules

Jules is also an 18 year old girl whose dream is to go to America and play football professionally. She is a heat warming woman who loves her friends dearly. Jules can be bitchy at times but all in all, she is an amazing friend to Jess and Joe. Jules plays a main role in BILB. Jess and Jules become more and more of friends as the film goes on. Jules is brave, chatty, clever, easy going, funny, grumpy at times, polite, can be rude, silly and friendly. She eventually achieves her dreams and goes off with Jess to play football in America professionally.
Tony
Played by Ameet Chana
Tony is one of Jessminda’s best friends. He is a sweet guy with a kind heart. He plays football with all the boys and Jess in the park. In the movie he admits to being gay to Jess. Tony helps Jess get to her final match which was the same time as Pinky’s wedding. Tony’s dream was to keep playing football without his friends finding out.
Mr Bhamra

Mr Bhamra is the father of Jessminda and the husband of Mrs Bhamra. He is a very positive guy who believes in Jessminda playing football. When he was younger he used to play cricket with the Indian team but when he moves to America he is forced to quit due to his nationality. Mr Bhamra had dreams to have children and for them to live a long and happy life.
